OFSTED and School's Performance Tables
Ofsted Report
Following our Ofsted inspection on 24th and 25th September 2024, we would like to share the final report with you. We are delighted to tell you that Ofsted have judged Oughtrington Primary School to be OUTSTANDING in three areas and GOOD in the remaining two areas. We are extremely proud of this positive outcome which is a testament to the dedication, care and commitment of our staff, the support of our parents and carers, and of course, a celebration of our wonderful children.
Visitors to our school leave with a strong impression of both the children’s and staff’s enthusiasm, happiness, supportiveness, and team spirit. Our Ofsted report captures this:
‘Pupils and staff are incredibly proud to be part of this school. Members of ‘Team Oughty’ champion one another and recognise each other’s strengths. This contributes towards an environment where success is both celebrated and rewarded. Pupils are eager to come into school and live up to the motto of ‘aspiring to greater heights’ by rising to the high expectations that the school has of their achievement. The school is committed to promoting pupils’ well-being. It expects pupils to treat one another in a way that they would like to be treated themselves.’
The report also celebrates that:
‘Pupils behave exceptionally well’
‘Pupils benefit from an extremely well-thought-out set of experiences’
‘The school has designed a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum. ‘Much thought has gone into shaping a curriculum that meets pupils’ learning needs and interests.’
‘Teachers thoroughly assess how well pupils learn the intended curriculum.’
‘Pupils’ behaviour is praiseworthy. They are excellent role models for their school.’
The report identified that there is an area for development and this is already part of our school improvement plan. We are delighted that Ofsted have recognised our many strengths and our ongoing commitment to ‘aspire to greater heights’. We are extremely proud of our report which we feel captures the day-to-day reality of life within Team Oughty and the fact that our school enables pupils to, “blossom into confident individuals who are ready for their lives beyond school.”
