Physical Education
'Every winner was once a beginner.'
Physical Education is crucial to developing well-rounded, resilient children who strive to be their very best whilst working alongside others to achieve thier personal best.
Here at Oughtrington Primary School, we are dedicated to raising the profile and standards of PE across the school. We are committed to providing our children with an enriched curriculum which is based on: FMS, yoga, fitness, dance, gymnastics, net and wall games, invasion games, striking and fielding, athletics and OAA. The fundamental movement skills (FMS) are embedded and delivered through our GetSet4PE scheme and skills are progressed throughout the children's learning journey. We offer children in Years 3-6 swimming lessons which take place at Lymm High School the lessons are in blocks of 6-12 weeks.
Every pupil has the opportunity to participate in a fun, challenging and rewarding learning environment where where pupils are encourged to express themselves through physical activty. All the children have atleast 2 hours of PE a week as we are fortunate enought to have indoor and outdoor facilities to conduct high quality PE lessons.
